Although the country said to be prepared for the World Cup, FIFA saidthat even the promised infrastructure such as airports and urban transport are not ready for this tournament
for missing more than twoyears.
FIFA said that the works are slow, while the Brazilian governmentopposed that position and states that everything is proceeding asagreed.
The Brazilian government in February gave the award of three major air terminals in the country, of which two are in Sao Paulo(Guarulhos and Guarulhos) and one in Brasilia. In addition, the government says 42 of the 51 urban transport projects will be completed in 2013 as planned. On the other hand, the UnionEngenharia Da-Da Architecture and SINAENCO-reported that Brasilia is lingering with VLT rail construction, which will link the airport to the stadium, as has been suspended since April and has not beenscheduled delivery date.
In Curitiba, the fastest runner for buses has not yet begun its reconstruction to be a fortress as the VLT. Similarly, Manaus has notbegun construction of a train and bus corridors.
