Along the coast, summer temperatures can reach very high values, but inside the country they are a little bit cooler, especially at night.
The most celebrated festival is Carnival, which takes place on Monday and Tuesday preceding Ash Wednesday.
For a few days, Montevideo turns jovial and festive.
Over the Easter various traditional activities are organized:
roasts, dressage horses, Horse riding or folk music.
