Argentina works to reach 7.2 million of tourists by 2015

The Ministry of Tourism from Argentina and the Argentina Chamber of Tourism launched the ConnectAR plan for – International Marketing – which aims to position and sell the country as a tourist destination to reach, in 2015, 7.2 million foreign travelers.
During the presentation, Leonardo Boto, executive secretary INPROTUR, explained that this is a new strategy for continued growth and so the plan will focus on the Internet diffusion through the new tourist hyper points.

Leonardo Boto noted that the Plan have been re-categorized connect markets, taking into account the flow of visitors, the level of expenditure, the number of nights and connectivity.

After studying the different markets, said the main goal is to attract American travelers, capturing the 100 million potential tourists that came to Argentina, while stressing the importance of building a network of alliances that allow us to increase our influence globally.
He also said that “The new rules for a new market main objective is loyalty” and would be the next to do.

To achieve the objective of the plan, Boto reported that four engines have been proposed for change, from which offer 200 experiences and products sold in Argentina for the world.

Among them will be natural getaways and cultural products of specific interest (adventure, golf, Route 40, mountaineering, snow, gourmet, fishing), the LGBT and high range, conference, medical and educational tourism, among others.

For his part, Minister of Tourism Carlos Enrique Meyer, said the marketing plan of international tourism is leading regional and suggests that, in 2015, will reach 7.2 million foreign tourists annually, since this will result in 7.5 billion dollars a year.

In that sense, concluded by reiterating that tourism is a major foreign exchange earner for Argentina, so segments attract greater spending capacity is a priority to generate wealth.
