The city of Cochabamba, which is attributed the best climate in the world and the most hardened drinkers of Bolivia, occupies a fertile green ravine on a landscape of fields and rolling hills. Founded in 1574, is the largest commercial city in Bolivia and was once the breadbasket of the country.

Nowadays it goes on being a prosperous and progressive town, and has good number of historical and archaeological attractions, including the 400 years old cathedral, the Convent of Santa Teresa and Archaeological museum.
